Frida Giannini, creative director and Seventies-girl-at-heart, must have delighted in the making of Gucci SS15 collection. Kate Moss and Anna Wintour were seen laughing and applauding on the front row while the show was underway, next to Charlotte Casiraghi, who is the new face of Gucci cosmetics.
The Spring-Summer collection was a perfect mix of the spirit of the 70s, military details, and not to forget the added exotic touch. With short dresses in a variety of fabrics including suede, leather, denim, cotton and overlaid lace, all worn with small over the shoulder bags.
The buttons and gold rope detailing could be found everywhere. Feather and fur gilets were worn with light dresses, and the kimono style jackets will definitely be the new must-have piece next summer.
Blue denim was worked into swingy cropped culottes with exaggerated turn-ups and natty shirt dresses with maxi white shoelaces criss-crossing up the sleeves and across plunging necklines.
